Fire, an Original Imprint
I like to build fires. When I was little, maybe from the age of 6 years, I would go down to the woods across the street from my house, all the time...as often as I could. It was a beautiful world with a creek curling through the 400 acres of undisturbed woodland. There I would build forts & dams...and fires. I loved the feeling of making warmth and light from what wood was found on the forest floor. I brought rocks up from the creek to create a stone circle. Often bringing slices of a pork roll or eggs from my house, on weekend mornings, you might find me making breakfast over my fire. I knew how to use a hatchet and knife, trained well by the adults in my life.
Self Sufficiency
Here I learned self sufficiency...never tiring of the thrill of a fire I had made. I gained a sense of my own growing prowess. I knew I could make something, something like fire which was exciting, scary and powerful. Fire is universal, ancient and elemental. Even then in my child consciousness, I knew I was connecting to the elemental energy of a ‘source.’
Original Imprint
My experience of making fires is what I call an Original Imprint. What is an original imprint?
At an early age, we get clues, treasure maps based on where our energy and our spirit feels a sense of resonance, a feeling of aliveness...we feel connected deeply to this experience. When we mine our histories, our archives of awareness, we find an original experience which feels like an initiation into our life purpose. We come into the world with both genetic and spiritual DNA. As our cells divide and our tiny souls begin having experiences, our essential nature starts to come awake.
Origin Stories
Like all origin stories, our own flows us back to our purpose, guides intentions and keeps us remembering who we are, especially when at a crossroads. I am still building fires, both literal and figurative. In fact, my life is defined by fire. Now I make fires so others can gather together and share.
Where is the Spirit moving in your life?

Kaleidoscopic Constellations: Crystals & The Sacred Language of Object Altars
Saturday, October 25th, 10AM - NOON
A workshop in healing, ritual, and ancestral alignment at Tweefontein Herb Farm, 4 Jenkins Ln., New Paltz, NY
There is a language beyond words—spoken in symbols, shadows, and the silent presence of what came before us. In this immersive workshop, we enter that liminal space through the art of object altars and the healing field of Kaleidoscopic Constellations.
Many of us know Tweefontein Herb Farm as a magical site that feels like we have just stepped into a Midsummer Night’s Dream, beautifully presented with a largesse of crystals, handcrafted tinctures and overflowing gardens from which their “sustainable, locally grown goodness” is sourced through permaculture, regenerative farming, and homesteading.
Crystals are transmitters of energy and are perfect for sourcing the representational alchemy of Constellations.. We will have access to Tweefontein’s crystal collection in our workshop.
In this sacred circle, we will:
Experience the subtle field of Family Constellations in an intimate, symbolic way
Learn to create personal object altars as portals of remembrance and resonance
Participate in ritual, guided constellations, and deep intuitive listening
Reconnect with ancestral gifts, patterns, and inner alignments ready to unfold

An Invitation to the Practice of Biodanza
As explorer of the many modalities and forms of spiritual growth and healing, Biodanza is the spiritual somatic form which I have practiced consistently over the recent years. Boidanza deeply nourishes me personally, and allows me to sustain and embody the depth of my own work at The Outer Edge and Gateway House. Biodanza cross pollinates with both Constellations and Ceremony. Join us!
You can find more info and event calendar at the New World Ritual & Dance, the Hudson Valley's Biodanza center.
